# Custom Profiles

Custom Profiles provides an iFrame for embedding a third-party webpage with external audience management tools. This appears visually adjacent to a person's details and conversations in Proto AICX, and is typically used to display a synced CRM dashboard. ## Configuration

In the [settings panel](https://documentation.proto.cx/docs/settings/settings), select **Custom Profiles**.

A single iFrame can be configured with these options:

* **Enabled** — toggles whether the Profile iFrame tab is available to users.
* **URL** — the web address of the webpage being embedded, requiring an `http://` or `https://` prefix.

Webpages applied to the iFrame are third-party resources, and thus do not fall under Proto's scope of support services. If you're troubleshooting getting a valid URL to display, ensure the website supports being iFramed. If the URL's content is behind a login, you may need to be separately signed-in to that platform for the iFrame to display authorized content.

Press **Save** to confirm edits, and the embedded page will be shown in the iFrame preview if enabled with a valid URL.

## Use Custom Profiles

1. Go to **Inbox** and select a conversation.
2. In the opened panel, select the **Custom** tab.
3. The embedded page is displayed. Press the **refresh** button to reload it.
