# Exports

Exporting livechats, tickets, or people requires the Lite plan.

Proto supports batch exporting of livechats, tickets, and people—including all messages, metadata, and custom fields—in CSVs customised to include desired content.

## Generate Export

In the **Livechats**, **Tickets**, or **People** dashboards:

1. In the table, select one or more item **checkboxes**.
2. Select **Export \[...]**.
3. In the opened menu, configure the export's contents:
   * **Checkboxes** for the respective livechat, ticket, or people fields to export.
   * **Include transcript** — toggles whether or not to include a livechat or ticket conversation's message or email transcript.
   * **Timezone** — the timezone with which transcript messages or emails are timestamped.
   * **Send a copy to my email** — when completed, the compiled CSV will be sent to the email address of your Proto user account.

Depending on the size and scope of an export, it can take minutes to hours to compile the CSV.

## Download Export

1. In the [settings panel](https://documentation.proto.cx/docs/settings/settings), select **Exports**. The opened exports table displays a permanent record of the generated exports from all users in the workspace.
2. Once an export has finished compiling as a CSV, its status will change from *Pending* to *Completed*. Once *Completed*, select the export's **Download** button.
