# Advisor

Advisor is the in-dashboard assistant for using Proto — ask it how to do something in the platform and it answers, with links to documentation where relevant.

Open Advisor from the lightning bolt icon in the left navigation.

## Start a conversation

| Action                  | Description                                                                                                                                                 |
| ----------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Type something...**   | Ask Advisor a question directly in the input field, then press send.                                                                                        |
| **Suggested questions** | Common questions appear on the homepage (e.g. "How do I test an AI assistant?", "What is a teamspace?"). Select any to start with that question pre-filled. |
| **Attachments**         | Use the paperclip icon to attach a file to your message.                                                                                                    |

## Conversation history

Past conversations with Advisor are listed in the left panel, grouped by recency (e.g. "Earlier"). Select a past conversation to continue it, or select **Start Chat** to begin a new one.
